Go Green with Spring Cleaning

I have begun my spring cleaning ritual. The week of Easter, I usually get to open my windows due to the beautiful weather, which then makes me get in the mood to start cleaning my house. I have also started trying to use less chemicals that harm the environment and using more Eco-friendly ways of getting my home spotless. Here are two websites I found with some great ideas on How to Go Green with your spring cleaning and How to save money with Homemade Cleaning Products. My grandmother would always say, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" and it certainly does give me peace to know my home is clean! Happy Spring Cleaning everyone!

Time

Since C has been gone, I have not really had a normal full time job. I have been selling stuff on Ebay and making money that way, but I have had so much time for myself to figure what I want out of life. I have worked a normal job since I was 17 and I must say NOT working is so awesome! I know that sounds really lazy, but its not like I don't want to work. I just want to invest in my life and not in someone else's life (working for someone else vs working for me). I want to be more independent and to make my own schedule. I wonder if that is how everyone feels? No matter, I realized that since I have been on my own schedule, I have been stressed less and much happier. Time and experiences is what I live for. Why would I waste anymore time on a job that I don't like? Why should any of us?

Seasonal Valentine Cakes

Every year, Little Debbie (God Bless her) puts out their seasonal Valentine Heart Cakes and I cannot help but buy a couple of boxes to indulge myself. Since my husband is gone, sugar is my company. I feel like my workouts are for nothing because I come home and eat these little cakes like they are going out of business. Well I kind of feel like that though. They are only in stores for January and February and then they disappear until the next Valentine Season. I sure do love them while there here though! Yummy little pink hearts of cake.

My Dad's Birthday January 4th

This year my dad requested something for his birthday, which was Monday January 4th. He never asks for anything, but this year he said he needed a Golf vest. I made a funny face and laughed. "A golf vest?" I replied. I said I would search for one since he requested it; which he never does. I found out that there are many kinds of golfing vests: Sweater vests, pull-over vests, wind-resistant vests etc. So I called him and asked what kind he wanted. He said wind-resistant and so I happily went back to the store to find a wind-resistant vest for my pops. I also found the biggest candy bar I had ever seen and had to buy it for him too. I'm serious, it had to weigh about 5lbs.

I took him out to lunch today at a nice restaurant that over looked the water. He opened the gift and smiled. It made me so happy to see my dad's true smile. You know how your loved one's have different smiles? They have a just being polite smile and a smile that is a true smile. Well that was the smile my dad gave to me and it made my heart so happy. It was a good day filled with true smiles, a wind-resistant golf vest, and a very large candy bar.

The was like the vest except I got him a tan color.

I'm on a mission... I think

Today is almost over, but my mission is to tidy up our small apartment. It will not take me that long to accomplish my goal, but I keep procrastinating getting starting for some reason. I have checked my email three times and I have been looking on EBAY... anything except starting my mission to clean up the place. Why is it so hard to do what one knows needs to be done sometimes? I think I have a control issue, because as a kid my mother used to make us do our chores before we could go out and play. Now that I am older, I rather play first before doing chores and I love to eat dessert first before dinner. LOL Ironic how I feel more like a child now than I did when I actually was one. Well I am off to Target to buy a new mop to succeed at my mission... or I could just be procrastinating again, but nonetheless I have a goal and that always helps success!

2009 has not been so fine...

I feel that all year long the universe has been against me. Every time something good happens for us, life kicks me back on my butt. For example, my great new boss quit this week and I am certain that property management is no longer my career path. I am now trying to get back into the personal training scene. C-Man has not been happy lately and it makes me sad. We miss all our friends in LA and we have been very disappointed in returning to the southeast. It is so freaking hot here!! Things have got to be looking up for us, because there is no other direction to go at this point. The one good thing about all this is that we have been able to save some money; which is a blessing in this economy.

Life Lessons

I found this poster by Derek Jeter. I suggest to read it and follow the advice when life gets you down. It has good ideas for organizing your life to be able to achieve everything you want.

I plan on organizing my life and practice on being less scattered-brained. It is never too late to accomplish the things we want!

I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Is There A Perfect Job for Me?

I have been praying to find a job that I love. Currently, I am not in a job that makes me happy or allows me to explore my creative side. I feel like I am living for the little time I have off. That is no life. I would love to flip houses for a living. That would be a fun and creative career. I would love to be able to see my C-Man more too. Times are tough and I cannot leave my current job until I find another one.

Until then, I will allow my mind to drift off to a place like Bora Bora. I pray that happiness finds me and everyone reading this blog entry.

Dreams

Hello there! I am tired today. I had bad dreams all night. Weird dreams about Santa Clause being tied up and water parks in the dark. Weird, I know, but dreams are unique; especially when one can remember them or control them. I love the dreams where I can fly and breathe under water. Those are so cool and amazing in depths only dreams can take you. This picture to the left is by dryicons.com

Anyways, I know I said I was going to post some wedding dress ideas today, but I have not had time to look up the dresses I originally saved on my other computer. My computer is in a box somewhere in the garage, so I will post them as soon as I find them on the net again.

Until tomorrow, here are some interesting paintings and photographs I found I liked. Please let me know your thoughts on these pieces of artwork. I hope your dreams are magical and memorable tonight. And to all a Good Night....Cheers!
